J. S. Bach - Cantata 139 'Wohl dem, der sich auf deinem Gott' (Blessed is he who puts his trust in his God)

Choral Evensong and Cantata. The libretto for this cantata is based on St Matthew's account of Jesus' reply to a question from the Pharisees concerning what is due to Caesar and what to God. The singers include four soloists and the strings are joined by a pair of oboes d'amore, bassoon and organ.
